My husband and I can't agree on what color/s to paint our bedroom. We have a beautiful dark red bedding set thats staying. The floor will soon be hardwood. Anyway can anyone give me any ideas? My husband wanted to paint two walls red and two walls yellow(in specific shades). I'm sure he has a method to his maddness but I think it would look like a circus tent. We have a basic rectangle bedroom, the window is small, we don't get alot of sunlight.

What color is the wood of the furniture - dark or light?
If dark, walls would probably look best in a light tone, such as ivory, or pale gold.
If wood is light, you could go with a deeper gold, or even a caramel [ like the hardwood floor ].
I think adding red to walls will de-emphasize the bedding.
I would add some very plain, simple window coverings [ sheers? ] to match the walls - anything too fancy will detract from the beautiful bedding.

Bright colors such as red and yellow are usually poor choices for bedroom colors because of their high activity levels. I think with the decor you've told be about a beige or cream (possibly accented with a dark wood brown) would look better while also keeping the room from having too much color activity. =)

DO NOT put yellow in a bedroom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yellow should be a transitional color, for a hallway or an entry

Golds and beiges are Good however.

do like a dark burgundy on the wall to make it cozy, with gold and such accesories

Gold. Use this color for your artwork frames and furniture hardware. Be sure that your furniture pieces are done in a lacquer finish to represent the true Asian look.

I would paint beige with red and black accents. Perhaps three walls beige and the one where the headboard is a different color (red?). Good luck!

I agree with above... a nice "Asian" red. you don't need to do black trim , it could be to much. if you can find a pale red (not Pink) that would be perfect. keep the walls all the same color too. to many colors is NOT Asian.

I think a beige-yellowy color would look awesome in that room. Especially because you don't get enough sunlight, light color rooms would look best.
