There are many things that affect menstuation. Stress (physical, emotional or mental; perhaps spiritual as well); heavy physical work (including seriously cleaning house); medications; sickness/illness.
Yes, I am a man; but I am married. I also remember guys who were scared silly thinking their girl friend was pregnant, only to find out it was an effect as described above. I also am one of those guys who reads (almost) anything, including law manuals and medical journals.
But, when all is said and done, it is the WOMAN herself who will know; if necessary, consult with a medical doctor.

Yes, stress can cause BOTH of those things ;) But if you think you could be pregnant, you should always take a home preg. test just to be sure.
Also, two days is not unusual for a period. Some months it's just shorter than usual. Although you can also have some light bleeding early on in a pregnancy. Definitely take a pregnancy test for peace of mind. Good luck!

Well if she had her period after having sex, she isn't pregnant.
Of course it may be bleeding for other reasons. If it was her first time, it could be from the broken hymen. There is sometimes bleeding for a day or two after the 'injury'.
Or if she did get pregnant, some women bleed a bit when the egg implants into the uterus, about 7 days after conception. So a lot depends on the actual timing of sex and when the bleeding started.

I agree. Stress certainly can stop a period or make a cycle wildly irregular. However, if 2 or more weeks have gone by since the "short" period, I would do a home pregnancy test.

Maybe- she's not pregnant if she got her period. Stress can also delay a period. Here's some advice you'd never regret: you and your friend both get on some birthcontrol, OK? Go to planned parenthood or speak with a school nurse if you can't talk to your 'rents.

Yes, being under stress can at times cause your flow to stop. Or it can be lighter. Stress does all sorts of things. Still, advise her to at least use a home pregnancy test, to ease her mind.

i don't think stress can cause your period to go off. But if it was her first time then her period will go off and on that month. That's just how it is the first time you have sex.

ABSOLUTELY! I had this issue in a very difficult time in my life. I must have invested in a dozen preg tests at the time.
All negative.
Best to practice non stress relieving activities and wind your mind down at night, things will chance, just focus on the GOOD.
