Could be anything from Giardia, to Coccidia, to GI upset, etc. Being he is so young you need to collect a sample of his feces (poop) and bring him to the vet as soon as you can get an appointment, call your vet now.

Unfortunately, young pups tend to crash pretty hard and the first sign of a problem is blood present in the stool. Too many times owners will wait until it is too late and there is not much vets can do, so please do not be one of these owners!!

ADD: Even though you are not seeing blood in his stool today does not mean he is healthy, could very much still have Giardia, or a parasite, more specifically the parasite associated with blood in the stool is Coccidia. I would keep a close eye on him to make sure he doesn't start with any of the symptoms I wrote earlier. I still would bring a fecal sample to your vet tomorrow to rule out parasites and Giardia. Blood is nothing to ignore, it means something is going on. Good luck!!

Pooping blood is a serious condition and needs a vet visit. Just make sure it is not something red that you fed him and are getting it confused with blood. My pups poop red streaks after eating watermelon and strawberries so just make sure of what you are seeing.

If it is blood, then please see a vet immediately. My pup almost died a year ago because she ate a small bit of a glass-like reflector that embedded into the walls of her intestines. Had I not paid attention to how sick she was getting, the vet said she would have died.

Good luck and loads of puppy prayers.

Even if blood was only present in his stool yesterday take your dog to the vet as it may be bleeding internally and basically poisoning itself.
Whenever in doubt, don`t wait act.
Good Luck

OMG - are you serious? How would anyone on here know why your dog is pooping blood? Could be a ton of reasons.

Take your dog to the vet!!! Or if this is a problem, find him a home with someone who will, for crying out loud.

Get off of the computer and take your pup to a vet now.

He may have ingested something that is cutting him internally.

Please get him to the vets, he is seriously ill.

Would your parents be waiting to take you or another family member to the hospital if they were bleeding when they were going to the bathroom? No, they would not.

Please go now.
