hit the bulls-eye

Meaning: If someone hits the bull's-eye, they are exactly right about something or achieve the best result possible. "Bulls-eye" and "bullseye" are alternative spellings.

Example: "I think that he really hit the bulls-eye when he talked about the problems with the regular staff."

Grab the bull by its horns

Meaning: If you grab (take) the bull by its horns, you deal head-on and directly with a problem.

Some bull-ish quotes:

“If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bull.” ~~W. C. Fields

The classic British gameshow "Bullseye" always started with the cry of, "It's a bulllllseye! And here's your host - Jiiiim Bowen!"
