"Dear Mrs. Johnson,

I want to thank you for your kindness in allowing my son, Johnny, to stay at your home through the holidays. Your generosity and hospitality is truly touching.

Thanks again!

Mrs. Jones (Johnny's mom)"

That should do just fine!

Have a polite day.

You don't seem to have any problem asking the question, which is in English. Anyway, you can call her and ask her if you can drop by at her house for a little bit. Bring something (maybe a baked good) as a thank you. Say how much you appreciate her help.

"Dear Mrs. ______,

Johnny is very excited about staying at your house over the holidays. Thank you so much for your kindness. We appreciate your friendship.

Merry Christmas,

______ your name"

Write this in a nice card and have your son bring a small gift, like flowers. They will love it.

Don't wear yourself out. Just send a nice card, which can be written or printed. The point here is to show thankfulness and you will have satisfied that requirement. I wish you well. Peace, Love and God Bless.

"Thank you so much for having my son during the holiday." And add a few more happy and grateful sentiments.

Easy, really!

A card saying thank you would be appropriate.
