I started jogging and I was wondering if it burns fat all over your body or just from your legs?

It burns fat throughout your body - there is NO way to spot reduce fat - period (contrary to what many people believe and what the infomercials try to sell). The more muscles you utilize while exercising the more calories you'll burn in the same period of time (thus why cross country skiing machines and eliptical trainers with an arm component are so popular).

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

As one who has jogged a "gazillion" miles, as well as cycled and walked and swam for decades, I can promise you that jogging, as well as the other sports I've mentioned above, will burn fat throughout your body. Be aware, however, that the body initially burns the carbs, the "quick energy", and then, after some miles and sweat, etc., turns to the "reserves", aka: fat, so you'll have to slowly-but-surely continually increase the distance/time/miles so that your body increasingly has to go to the reserves to burn fat. The healthier you get, the more you're body won't have to resort to the reserves, and so it will burn the carbs only. That's why the increased exercise as you go along and get healthier. I found bicycling to be much less wear-and-tear on the body than jogging, so I made the switch, and have ridden thousands and thousands of miles over a two decade or so period. You'll love it. Get a good bike, however, from a real bicycle shop and not one of those gawdawful clunkers from WalMart, KMart, Target, etc.. Your knees will love you for it. God Bless you.

Let me add here, contrary to what several of your other respondents have said, if you get a bicycle with toe-clips or similar device on the pedal, and ride for exercise, not just to "look cute" on a bicycle, you CAN AND WILL trim your lower stomach as flat as a wash-board and WILL begin to see some "six-pack" evidence. You'd have to have ridden as avidly as I and many cycling fans to know that. Again, God Bless you and be with you always.

Depending on the incline, it does build muscle in your legs. It also works the heart (Cardio) which in turn burns fat. There is no such thing as "spot reduction" however. You can't lose weight just from your belly or just from your thighs.

When you run. jog, aerobics...it burns fat from everywhere.

It's really good for your butt, legs and abs, but it burns fat just about everywhere.

it is physiologically impossible to spot reduce fat through the diet or exercise, jogging is no different.

genetics determines where fat is stored first and removed from last. the diet and exercises performed have absolutely no effect on this.
