She should turn herself in because if they find her first it will go harder on her for leaving the scene. You are also now part of the crime by aiding her in covering it up. Someone will eventually report her because everyone in your neighborhood and your family knows what she drives and by hiding it someone will become suspicious. Pulling the wood and stucco isnt enough to cover her tracks. he damage on her vehicle will be matched with the damage to the structure. Microscopic pieces will still be imbedded on the vehicle and her paint will be imbedded on the structure.

She should get an attorney. The attorney will know all the ins and outs of your jurisdiction. There will probably be some surrender arrangements. If she does turn herself in and has a clean record she might get off with no jail time. But get the attorney first. She freaked out, it is probably the only defense she has. Just went nuts for a few hours and is terribly sorry. She may have been drunk but if she is sober now that is something best left unsaid.

BTW, when the cops are knocking at the front door, it is too late. Do it NOW!
