They reject all "former atheists" as never having been real atheists in the first place. Plus Strobel was much more of an agnostic - but his book "The Case for Christ" is fascinating read no matter what your belief.

I'll let you know after I Google it

EDIT

Wikipedia makes no mention of him ever being an atheist...

Have you noticed that religious websites brag about a lecturer being a former-atheist in the same way a steak house brags that one of its best customers was once a vegetarian?

His book has been pretty well refuted.
I think he is just another attempt to ride the believer gravy train. Believers will buy almost anything to bolster their faltering faith.
I think if I saw either of his books in somebody's library I would assume that person was of weak faith or an atheist who read them out of curiosity.

From the sales of his books, it appears that Christianity has been very, very good to him.

I direct you to reading about William Lobdell, the religion editor for the LA Times, who took on that job because of his own strong faith. Several years into it, he no longer believes that there is any reason to see any God acting in the church, in the world, or in individuals.

We are all entitled to change our minds. I don't think you can make much of any person changing their beliefs one way or an other. It doesn't mean that one way of thinking is right or wrong..Someone just changed their minds..I am not an atheist. I was an agnostic..now I am a Christian. All that means is it is right for me.

I think that "former atheists" (if that's what they even are) really stand out because there are so few of them. There are far more former Christians...for obvious reasons.
