There are so very very few OTC medications that you can safely give a cat, that you really need to call a vet on this one. (You should never self medicate your pet anyway.. I've seen too many owners with good intentions who were trying to save on paying a vet bill wind up running in with a mostly dead cat or dog that they poisoned with OTC meds. There's a reason a vet goes to school for so long.)

Please take your cat to the vet. Most over the counter medication is toxic to cats. Most are toxic in and of themselves, while others require proper dosing.
There is no such thing as anistime. Maybe you are thinking antihistamine? But that is for allergic reactions and such- not a viral infection. If it is a URI, he needs antibiotics to prevent any bacterial infections subsequent to a compromised immune system, along with possible diet supplements if he is not eating, and other things a doctor knows more about.
Not only should you take your cat to the vet to get proper medication, but also to find out exactly what is wrong with your cat. You may think it's just a URI which apparently he has had before. But really, you don't know. You could very well be right, but why take the chance?
He needs proper care by a doctor- no one on here can give you with any degree of accurateness which drugs and how much without doing at least a physical exam on your cat.
You owe it to your friend to find proper car.
I hope he feels better.

well dont buy anything that you can purchase at walmart, or stores like this. the only place i would recommend is to go to the vet, they will give you some meds that will work (unlike store bought products, they dont work and they can harm or kill an animal). good luck hope all goes well.
its understandable that u live on ssi..but vets can do payments, where you dont have to pay in full, and if the vet gives you the same meds, and theyre not working, then you need to Bring that up to the vet!! tell them its not working, u need something else. and i have 3 cats, just because i dont know what your abreviated letters mean, doesnt mean that im not a good pet owner..

1. You don't say what he has........
2. NEVER give Over The Counter meds to a cat! You don't know what all is in them!
3. Give your vet a call (BETTER to take the cat for an exam!!) and see what is recommended.
Be a "responsible" pet owner and do what's right/best for your cat.
Good Luck...................

NONE! If your cat is sick, take it to the vets, unless you are an accredited veterinarian, then can go to wal mart and buy the cheap junk that you think he needs. You should not be self-medicating. And if you can't afford to go to the vets, you should not own a pet in the first place. It's downright cruel - no different from those that intentionally abuse animals.

I have given my cats, terrimycin powder, about 1/2 teaspoon full in his wet cat food. You can buy this at a feed store. You can also give him 1/2 cc triaminic syrup for the runny eyes and nose. Don't let anyone tell you that it doesn't work, because I have used it on my animals before. The powder is for chickens and live stock, but it works. Give this to your cat 3 times a day. If that doesn't work, you will have to take it to the vet. I have always caught mine in the early stages. Hopefully yours hasn' t gone far with it.

There is no way anybody could give you any help with so little information about your cat`s problem or if you`ve ever gone to a Vet with your cats illness problem.

Details on your kitty's condition, please?
And you would be better consulting a vet who can actually look at your cat.
Good luck.

From your description I don't think you are smart enough or have enough education to be medicating your own cat. They make people called veterinarians - you should call one.
