if it's totally improbable that she'll go out with you, don't; you'll only embarass yourself. (I probably spelled embarass wrong...) If it's possible that she'll say yes, you can become friends with her first and go to the movies and stuff with your groups, or alone, as friends...and then you can ask her out. be straightforward. it's easier that way. good luck!

If the answer is no, then ask if another time would be better.
If the answer is still no, then move on.
there are many reasons for a person to 'reject' a date and they often have nothing to do with the asker. They are interested in someone else, they have other plans, they are recovering from a bad relationship, they are involved with someone, they aren't feeling good about themselves, they are shy. etc.

If your shy you could always do somthing sweet like buy her 5 flowers with a little card saying will you go out with me in 5 days it sounds cheesy but some girls like cheesy believe it or not :)
