I got a parking ticket the other morning at 5am for parking on the wrong side of the street during alternate parking season. My city has alternate side parking between 1 and 6am during winter to aid in snow removal. The reason I want to contest the ticket is that the street i parked on is less than a block long with NO building so it is impossible to tell which side of the street is ODD or EVEN. (you park on the odd side on odd days and even on even days). The ticket is only 20$, but I am really annoyed and I do not believe this ticket is valid. Should I contest the ticket or just shut up?

I got a parking ticket for parking next to a meter, in the street, they have the yellow lines where you are suppose to park your vehicle. I parked there, went inside for 5 minutes, came back out and I had a parking ticket. Why? Because the plastics of my truck were over the line, note I don't have anything done to my f150, it is completely stock, but they said that my truck's plastics (NOT the tires) were over the line, and I was impeding traffic. There was also a good 15 feet of clearance for other vehicles next to me.

You won't win, they will find some small detail to hassle you over or tell you your wrong, just pay it and accept that cops who give tickets like that are ***es who don't have anything better to do.

you would possibly want to get a letter from the DC parking authority about paying the positive and consequences in case you do not deliver the parking positive before the 60 days. Then after a predetermined time if there is not any reaction the DC parking authority may promote the fee ticket to a collection corporation, and they'll commence searching for you. that could want to reason you issues down the line with regards to your credit status. you would possibly want to to boot shop the aggravation and pay the 50 money and chalk it as a lot as existence adventure.

yes , once only, It was really funny, because I was driving my niece to school and her school is like right next door, about one minutes, and as soon as I pulled out to the street, barely speeding, out came a cop and got a ticket for speeding, and a lecture about speeding with kids present, so I brought my niece out to court and we fought the ticket and won.
To answer your question if you want to fight it, then fight it, but I would just pay the darn tickets.
