We received another kitten over a year ago, and we must keep the two seperate. (yea a real job!) Now we have a puppy...The 3 year old cat hates it. What can I do to just have a little quite time without pets fighting?

Is your older male fixed? Neutered? That can help calm him down alot. Other than that, just keep him seperated in a room with his toys, food etc. Be sure to spend some time with him alone too. Some animals just don't ever get along with others.

First a question: WHY did you get a puppy, when you already had a couple of cats that don't get along and have to keep separated? If the puppy isn't left alone w/older cat, for awhile, and is SLOWLY introduced to the younger one, at least it will have someone to play with. I had a friend, who took home a new kitten, and after 3 months of keeping them separated, she found a new home for the OLDER one! You could look into that, I suppose.....or now that there're 3 pets in the house, maybe, eventually, the tom (has he been neutered?) will learn to get along. You didn't tell us the sexes of the puppy or the younger kitten. Hope this helps.........

I have had this problem. Here is what to do: buy a spray bottle from a local drugstore and fill it with water and every time the cat misbehaves, squirt him in the face with the water and if you do that then eventually he will learn.
Good luck!!

If you want to keep that cat! you will have to isolate him
from the rest of pets, because he is jealous of them, and
not only that! he will fight with them if you're not careful, the
dog can get his eyes scratched out, and the kitten too.
Be cautious, if you keep him.
