Can anyone give me a few types of snacks which i can make with shortcrust pastry?
PLEASE i have a food tech exam tomorrow!

You can line a pan with your shortcrust pastry - bake it lightly. Then place a layer of Bavarian Cream and top it with sliced fruit like kiwi and strawberries. Drizzle a glaze over the fruit. You could use a custard base in place of the Bavarian cream if you'd like.

Empanadas! That's Spanish for individually wrapped meat & cheese pies. Roll out the pastry, cut into two inch squares. Stuff with diced meat (ham is my favorite), add grated cheese (I like sharp cheddar), diced onions (small amount), and spices (whatever you prefer). Mix together. Place a teaspoon of the mixture into each pastry square. Close by folding in half, and making a crescent shape. Use a fork to press around the edges inorder to secure misture inside. Finally, brush egg white over the top of the pastry before baking. Put on cookie sheet and bake at 350 until brown. Easy!
