Well like most guys I guess I'm kinda keen on getting a lass. I'm 26 and average-looking. But both of my legs were amputated at the hips last year (road accident), leaving me wheelchair-bound. I guess I'm just wondering if girls would consider going out with a guy in a wheelchair with no legs? I haven't tried with girls since my accident. Be honest!

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear that you have been through such a difficult time.

I have a disability too and though I am single at the moment, I have had a few boyfriends so I know that it is possible to meet someone.

I have heard of lots of people who have lost one or both legs and gone on to meet the love of their life. Pick up a few magazines (Chat, Take a Break etc) and you will read about them. In the last 2 weeks there has been at least two such stories - one of a woman who was born with no legs and another of a lady who tragically lost both her legs in a motorcycle accident on the day of her wedding. Both married and are still very much in love with their partners.

If you would like to chat more you are welcome to email me.

Bye for now, and good luck :)

I'm sorry to hear about your accident. It will be harder for you than for most guys to find your dream girl, but it will happen if you keep looking, and if you don't get discouraged!

Once a woman sees that you are still independent and confident, and that you are a kind and loving man who would do whatever he could for her, she will be interested.

Perhaps you should try meeting women online first, so they can get to know you a bit. I met my husband online!

Or you might look online for a support group or online chat for amputees. Who knows, perhaps your future wife is also missing a limb or two :)

Good luck! Oh, my husband's father's girlfriend is in a wheelchair too, and they have a great time together.

Well, I recently met someone I really liked who had his leg amputated below the kneea few years ago. He wasn't the best looking or anything but I really liked him as I thought he had an amazing personality. So, yes I could consider it.

sounds cheesy, but the right girl will. some girls won't, some would. I would if 1. i didn't already have a bf 2. if i liked his personality. it would be difficult, but i would try. go out with nice girls, don't try to get "hot" shallow girls. i'm sorry about your accident. hope you're doing well

i would. it doesn't matter about things like that. when i go out with someone, it's because of what they are like as a person, not what they look like. if someone says they wouldn't go out with you because you are in a wheelchair, they are a shallow person, who would only be with you for what they could get from you, not for a meaningful relationship, and it's better to be alone than in a relationship with someone like that.

Yes, it is your personality and charm that a woman would want. so get out there. There is someone for you but you will find her when you least expect it. Good Luck !

It personally would not bother me. I have been out with an amputee before, he had one arm and one foot. He two-timed me sob sob.

You won't find many who wouldn't date you, I think it depends on how you put yourself across. Just be you.

Good luck

It's the person that counts in the end, not what they look like.
