Honey, I'm not on a mission of that kind. Speaking of R&S, since we don't know each other in real life, my mission here is simply to offer the other side of the coin and also to take a look at the other side of your coin.
I personally don't have problems with God. Many people have become better persons once they started believing that there's someone out there who they'll have to face one day. And such people I understand and respect. But let's face it, there are people who have become so blinded with their faith that they're actually ready to kill. And I mean really kill.
It's the concept of religion being used as a tool to justify attrocities that ticks me off. It's the ''better than thou'' complex that I'm fighting against. I refuse to acknowledge that a person is better than me only because he/she accpeted Jesus, Allah or any other diety, as you have probably witnessed some people claim.
I sweat my blood to be productive to the society I live in, to be a decent citizen, I stick to the laws of my country, I do charity work, I do my best to raise my son as a man who will respect and tolarate everyone, I'm there for my friends and family when they need me and so on. And that is my real mission.
Best wishes! :)

Since I don't drink anyway, I'll try answering this.
First of all, Atheists don't have anything against "God" rather it's his fan club that we have issues with. Religion is a fraud that contributes to violence, racism, and ignorance.
Religious fanatics are delusional and dangerous - it is that same ignorance that lead to 9/11 and the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Christianity and Islam both claim to be religions of peace but war and violence is their tool of choice at the moment for recruitment.
Think of it like this, if you see someone drinking themselves to death at some point telling them they should stop drinking is the least you could do. Alcoholics and religious fanatics have one thing in common - they are most often in denial. Some atheists are on R&S to help people with their denial.
We need to abandon all mythology and superstition - by pointing out the lies and deceptions propagated by religion, atheists can help religious people find the truth and abandon their delusional ways.
I'm not on a mission to talk others out of their faith, but if I can get them to look at the truth they will abandon their faith on their own.

I am an atheist (may be) and i believe is that I have to satisfy myself I don't go about changing others faith I am in search of truth and that has nothing to do with any mission and in my way I may or may not find God but I can't believe or follow for that matter any thing that can be classified as a myth, So that is my mission trying to understand not to change the world even if i die trying

Its very simple, a lot of Christians are causing problems for everyone else by trying to force their beliefs on others. They are trying to take control of the government so that they can insert their beliefs into the laws and policies of the country. If there are fewer Christians, then there will be less likelihood of these fundamentalists being able to take control of everything.
I'm not an atheist, but I will do what I can to show people that Christianity is, indeed, a false religion. I'm not interested in converting them to my own religion. I just want them to understand that their religion is false and that they shouldn't support the radical Christians that are trying to force that false religion on everyone else.
The heavy involvement of the religious right has so far proven to be extremely detrimental to our country. If Christians weren't harming my country because of their religious beliefs, I wouldn't care at all what they wanted to believe. However, they are actively damaging my country BECAUSE of their religious beliefs. So, I feel that it is necessary to show people that their religious beliefs are WRONG and that they should not be forcing them on others.

In a democracy, it's important to have an informed electorate. All voters should be highly informed about the candidates and the issues, and vote accordingly.
Unfortunately, too many voters base their decisions on either what a con-man in a pulpit tells them, or what some long dead goat herder wrote in a book centuries ago.
Personally, I don't care what people believe, I just wish they'd leave those beliefs outside the polling station.

I never just start trying to talk people out of belief in God. But the second they start to preach, or judge, or pass laws based on their religion, to try to deny people their rights, or start encouraging scientific ignorance or discouraging scientific education, then I will do everything I can to point out how nonsensical they are. My problem is with how much of a negative and poisonous effect religion can have. I am completely flabbergasted at how much our society--in this day and age-- allows beliefs in magical, invisible beings affect every aspect of our society.

Ladybird, I merely gave you a component. i visit't answer for the others. the reason I even have come precise right here, is via the fact there are Christians who run some distance flung from protecting their faith. They conceal from questions. They declare persecution. Then they vote. on the comparable time as they vote, they tell human beings the by using stay their lives. They enter our optimal inner maximum area, and demand finished administration over it. That have been given previous. So precise right here i'm, desirous to hold them to blame. I even have study the finished Bible. I even have yet to fulfill any Christians precise right here who can say a similar.

Even though I think that a world without religion would be a better place, I don't think active recruiting is any of my business. Hypothetically, how much would an atheist recruiter make an hour?

I never claimed not to have faith in anything. Just not in gods.
Why recruit? To further the understanding and maturity of people across the world? To try and get people to think for themselves instead of being indoctrinated into credulity?
*shrug* I don't like ignorance. Especially when it's chosen and defended on the flimsiest of grounds.

Personally I believe that there would be a lot less bigotry, suffering and death if more people were atheist and made their own decisions. If only religion had no negative effect on other people's lives, I would have no problem with people believing in God or Allah or whatever they choose.
