If you don't have all the ingredients on hand to make it yourself, then just buy it. Here in Wisconsin, I normally pay about $1.09 for Joseph Campione garlic bread (frozen). I happily pay between $1-2 for the frozen kind, takes only a few minutes, and they're really pretty cheap if you ask me.
Or, if you can't go to the store and you're in a pinch - we just stick regular sandwich bread in the toaster, spread butter on it when it's toasted, and then sprinkle either garlic salt or garlic powder on it. If you want it cheesy too and have some mozzarella on hand, we just put the cheese on the buttered toast in the microwave for a few seconds.

You can make it yourself using french bread, butter, and garlic, which are all cheap items. But you can buy frozen garlic bread without breaking the bank.

depends.
if you're buying the bread and the ingredient to make it.... ie garlic, butter, etc.... then its around 30 bucks ish.
of you're buying it pre-made like heat it up in the oven... then its like 15.
