Please, don't be a rude moron and try to make me feel dumb.

In ohio, they usually send out the checks every friday if i remember right. Now, depending on what method you use for sending in the infomation really depends on how soon you get your refund check.

if you go with the electronic system, i believe its withen 7-10 days. i'm not sure, i've not used the electronic system yet.

as far as sending it via post mail, it may take 4-6 weeks for it to be proccessed.

however, the earlier you send it out the better :P due to the fact that not many people are sending it in at the earlist time. usually people wait around untill the last minute.

hopefully this answers your question.

Ohio tax refunds can be sent in as little as 7 to 10 days from the date of filing.
You can e-file your state taxes for free at:
http://tax.ohio.gov/online_services/ohio_ifile.stm
Ohio's Dept. of Taxation also has a "Where's my refund" link to see when you'll get your check.

When you e-file your federal return, you can get your refund direct deposited in 8-15 days or check mailed in about 2 weeks.
Filing by paper takes a lot longer, anywhere from 4-8 weeks.

You should check out IRS' Free File Alliance program. It allows millions of taxpayers to e-file for free. There's a good list of tax services that partner with the FFA. H & R Block and Turbo Tax are just two of the most popular.
Some companies partner with certain states to let their residents file their tax returns for free as well.

This probably won't be ready to use until mid-January.

The IRS also has a "Where's my refund" link.

You should generally get your refund check about 6 to 8 weeks after you file your Ohio state tax return. It may be quicker if Ohio does direct deposit.

Your Federal return will depend upon how you file. If you e-file with direct deposit of your refund you should see it in 8 to 15 days. If you opt for a paper check, add about 2 weeks. If you file a paper return, figure 6 to 8 weeks processing time for a paper check or 4 to 6 weeks for direct deposit.
