Im just getting my licence, and there is a Chevy Blazer for sale with 130K miles, selling for $2,400. That is the only thing I dont like about it. Everything else is in excellent condition. Interior and exterior are excellent. I know im going to put some money into it. There is a small oil leak, and the shifter has a over tight cable. But is 130K miles too much for a Blazer?

the engine is pretty strong on those. i have a friend with 250,000 miles. but he is on his third tranny. plan on putting a tranny in it fairly soon. they have front end problems (ball joints, tie rod ends) and some rear diff problems. the rear end problems are not as common. i would look at the ball joints and tie rod ends if they are bad, then that would give you some leverage to talk him down in price.

Everybody has an opinion on everything evem more when they don't like something... the Blazers on the most part are sturdy and if the case arises, parts are cheap. As for the price, it matters what year it is.

its a '98? well you figure thats 10 yrs old, and most people drive 10,000-12,000 a year so with that said, 130,000 is what blue book would call normal mileage.
I would check compression, and all belys and hoses, if this truck was properly maintained, then offer $ 1750. wouldn't go over $2000 though.

Is it an S-10 or a full size? If it is a full size I would try to dicker the price down some. If it is an S-10....I wouldn't bother.

I would not pay over $500 bucks for that rebuild in waiting.
