Sugar!!! It really works. I have three children and I swear by this when they have a busted lip or any part of the mouth. It helps to clot the blood faster, and as an added bonus, it tastes good. Just take a spoonfull and press it to the cut. Leave it on until the bleeding stops, usually only a few seconds, depending on the cut.

When it's cold, the air is drier than in warm weather. The lips tend to dry out too and crack. Keep a good moisturizer on your lips. Carry Chap-Stick or a tube of Carmex with you and use it liberally and often. Try not to lick your lips; this just makes them drier.

first wipe it with alchohol
then apply napkin on to collect blood
tuck your lip in and cut will cease
in about ten minutes
you will forget about it in one hour

apply pressure first if does not stop quickly, add ice to the pressure, if still won't stop, you might want to get stitches.
