Kate, the reason i used that terminology is because thats what the paper uses for all of that ...i would prefer the bride to be :)

My only problem with it is that you call yourself the "Bride Elect" I dont think that that is the right terminology as you haven't been voted into your position. The "elect" term is usually only used for political positions. Maybe change that to "Bride to be" and also, dont put "her Fiance", use his name. Either "Mr. Roberts" or "John Roberts" is a graduate of ... By using "her fiance" its not very respectful of him, as if he doesnt count as much as you do.

ETA: Just read your additional details, hmmm, that is weird, but if thats what they do, then maybe I am totally wrong and you should just go with it! It struck me weird, but if people are used to seeing it that way, they wont even blink at it. And it isnt that big of a deal, its probably not a battle you would want to pick, something that small wouldnt be worth it!
PS, How come you keep changing your name and I see you took down your photo? People arent stalking you on here are they?

Oh, I'm sorry, I didnt mean to make you feel weird, I was just wondering and wanted to make sure that if people were stalking you, you knew that there are courses of actions that you could take to stop it. I dont want you to stop posting because I know we all like you in here, you ask good questions!

It is totally by the book for where I live, just standard stuff.

As the other Answerer said, it will cost a bundle if you want all that stuff in.

Go by what is done where you live. Put in grandparents for sure, if they are/were prominent and well-known in the town and a lot of people reading will have known them. If that is not the case, don't put their names in, unless absolutely everyone does, in that newspaper.

If it's for a newspaper, you'll have to trim it down, unless you're paying exhorbitant fees for a large ad. If it's for a card that you intend on mailing out, it is also too long, with tons of unnecessary and irrelevant info.

Many couples create their own websites (you don't have to pay for a domain name; there are plenty of free website servers available; sorry, but I don't advertise such on this website), and put their stories there. There are even wedding-based websites that offer completely free space for engaged couples, and they have "preset" webpages, so you don't even have to know anything about web programming!

I don't think it's really necessary to put in high schools and all colleges and universities. It makes it too long. Just put in the last degree that you and your fiance obtained.

If you're paying for the space in the paper, then do it your way. If your mom is paying for it, then her do it her way!

Sounds good . . . except the mothers' names should go before the fathers' names. Ladies first, remember?

As for grandparents, how is it usually done in your local paper? Where I live now . . . yes, grandparents are always mentioned. Even if deceased, they are mentioned. Where I used to live . . . no, grandparents were never mentioned. I would say look at the announcements in your local paper and go with whatever your local custom is.

But like while it's whatever little like simply little matters you recounted it does not quite hassle me to any extent further. I hang around with as a rule men so yeah. Almost all my peers are very perverted. And they're as a rule shophmores and juniors and seniors you might suppose they might be extra mature. Tehe.
