I've heard rumors of an updated ps2 coming out in early 2008..is this true? If so, could you also list your sources?

Wow it shows that alot of people have there sixaxis controllers shoved so far up there a$$ they forgotten the question.To state a fact,yes there is a new model PS2 coming out.It is still the slim model with some slight changes.The Power Block (Ac Adapter) is now built in and the system is a lil more lighter than the original slim PS2 and also the top of the PS2 is a little different.You know how there was that little glossy black line in the middle?Well now it cover's half of the PS2.The new model is already out in Japan but it will be coming out sometime next year in the US and will be $140.Heres a look at it.

Oh wow really? I didn't know that - I have the little skinny PS2 but if they're coming out with a new one I'd like to upgrade and not get PS3

The "new" ceramic-white PS2 is "Singstar pop" limited-edition. It has no new technologies, it's just a bundle-pack with mics and the game.

I really dont think so. I do hope they come out with some more games for the Playstation 3 because I also like it because of its Blue-Ray technology.

they are not maing a newer playstation
they are thinkiing about ps3 primarily now
however several new colors maybe released
