My girlfriend saw on this website two cats kissing each other and then asked me is it possible for cats to be lesbians? haha I didn't know so she asked me to ask it on yahoo answers.

I've never seen two female cats trying to have sex with each other. Lesbian is a word humans use on human behavior, it doesn't translate over to the rest of the animal kingdom.
Cats like family contact, they have family groups, extended family, etc. Since they love mutual grooming, it's absolutely NO reflection on their sexual activity. Their sex is regulated by hormones (coming into heat). So no, they're not lesbians.

Lesbian cats are of course possible. But they were probably just checking eachother out (in the friendly way). It's no big deal.

They were probably just cleaning each other, sweetie. There are some spots that even cats can't reach and need cleaned.

Thats how animals greet and as far as i know there are NO such thing as lesbian cats! they just are affectionate to each other thats all :P

haha i have 2 female cats and so they always clean eachother which is adorable but now i am finding the younger one sniffing the others butt?? and even like having her mouth open when she pulls away

LOL - who knows? Maybe? But considering most animals don't kiss, they may have just been cleaning each other, hehe.
