If you think of a friend as living in your physical brain, which in a sense he/she would. That is everything you know, think and perceive about your friend occurs in your brain. Than I guess you can think of God as occupying that same parts a friend would. Only God would be the very best friend we can ever have and his ideas should influence every other movement in the brain and hence everything we do, say and write - even on Y!A!.

I would say that he "lives" in the part of our brain that makes us more aware of ourselves than other animals and causes us to wonder at our existence. That is how all religions have originated.

The concept of God resides in several areas of the brain.

The one for cognitive reasoning, imagination, and spacial relations.

God himself does not "live" in the meaning we understand, but rather infuses every created thing.

Question: which part of the "physical" brain do you reside in?

God doesn't live in the brain. God is all around us. He's in everything we see and touch and feel. He's in our heart.

If you are thinking of a loving God of morality, most likely frontal lobe. If you thinking of the Biblical God, it would be the amygdala.
