"PBUH" or Peace Be Upon Him

Same thing as people saying in the USA, May He Rest In Peace.

They say this out of honor and respect. Same reason why say G_D over God. For they honor the fact that original writings did not have vowels and in honor of that, they write the names properly.

Same reason why you say hi to someone, or bye. Respect. Same reason why you shake hands with others when you meet them, respect.

Same thing with Mr, Mrs, Ms... respect

The Arabic Words in the Holy Quran have a variety of meanings. In the early days, 'Peace be upon him' was the translation, which, by usage, became acceptable norm. Since then, many other and better translations have been offered. They are yet to become popular. One such translation is 'Allah's Glory and Grace be on Muhammad's prophetic mission'. In abbreviation " Muhammad (gg)" or "Muhammad (GG). The Arabic word in the Quran is :Sall . "Sall Allah o alaih e Muhammad"....is the prayer.
Greetings for a good question

Good question, and I see your viewpoint.

But, this is said for all the Prophets, and it just says that now that each has attained heaven-he has peace and blessings upon him. He has brought good into the world.

It is a Misleading when translated to English,What they say Actually isn't "Peace Be Upon Him" ,They say : God Had Prayed On Him and Saluted. I wonder How God May Pray? and To Whom He May Pray? That is Why It's Changed To PBUH.

Hm.. But I wonder why do ya ask it here??

And ahmm.. not consult the books or the texts that talk all about these things with the belief of finding the reason.

Does your laziness force you to do this?

According to the orthodox Muslim doctrine people are alive in their graves because the grave is the beginning of the afterlife.
