Anyone with intelligence knows that Yeshua was not white at all. But it clearly shows the level of hypocrisy among Western Christians.

It is written that you should not make any graven images, but this commandment is ignored by so-called Christians.

You are absolutely right, to some degree. Jesus (Yeshua) is Jewish (Hebrew).

Not all of us "Western Christians" have an graven image, nor do we worship a white Jesus.

I agree , but I think Christians are starting to come around . Pictures of a Blondie hair Blue eyed white Jesus are simply wrong , The bible calls this " graven images " because these pictures don't look like him at all . I know my dad took most of them down because of this . It's not True Hypocrisy , That seems a little harsh . They were just use to the pictures always being around .

In Europe and America, there are lots of paintings of a white Jesus. In Japan, there are paintings of an Asian Jesus, and in some African countries, He is portrayed as being black. I don't believe it really matters what color Jesus's skin was. If you're really so bothered with His race, I would suspect you're either immature in your own faith, or racist, or both. It's a total non-issue. It makes no difference whatsoever.

However, I've studied the Edessa Cloth/ Shroud of Turin quite a little bit. Although I'm naturally a skeptic when it comes to things like this, I've read enough to convince me that it truly is the burial shroud of our Lord. Being both the most contraversial and most studied ancient artifact known to man, several different researchers have brought in official coroners from varying law enforcement agencies. They all say the same thing: the image on the Edessa Cloth is one of a caucasian man, roughly 5'11'' in height. If this cloth is indeed the genuine article many believe it to be, it provides the answer you're looking for. And just so you know, before the Edessa Cloth was discovered in Turkey in an *EASTERN* Orthodox Church, Jesus was always represented as a cleanshaven, shorthaired man in paintings and mosaics.

That being said, His race is still a complete and utter non-issue. Whether He was a light-skinned Jew or a dark-skinned Jew makes absolutely no difference whatsoever in God's plan for the salvation of man.

Sorry that's not the answer you want.

The race of Jesus has been a subject of debate since at least the 19th century. The physical appearance of Jesus of Nazareth, though with no explicit emphasis on race, was also debated by theologians from early on in the history of Christianity. Different societies have depicted Jesus and most other biblical figures as their own ethnicity in their art; for example he is primarily white in the West, and black in Africa. Such representations are not, in the modern day, usually intended to be historically accurate. The current dominant opinion among historians and scientists is that he most likely had olive skin, resembling modern-day persons of Middle Eastern descent. Others, however, have suggested other possible racial backgrounds.

Why do you worship an imaginary Yeshua ? All "gods" are only in the imaginations of superstitious people like you .

Who says he was white? He was Mediterranean. In a letter to Pontius Pilate to Tiberius Caesar, he describes Jesus Christ as being of a golden countenance in comparison to the swarthy people surrounding him. Did Pontius Pilate make this up? Is Tiberius Caesar a myth? Check your history books.

You can give Jesus any face and any color. Of course white western missionaries will not use an image of Jesus looking like chinese, ****** or looking like Buddha.
