well it's like being polite. she thinks it's funny, but she doesn't want you to think that she's obnoxious. also maybe she had food in her mouth. well if you were on a date/ formal dinner.

In some cultures, it is considered rude to show an open mouth for any reason, other than breathing and speaking, of course: coughing, sneezing, yawning, laughing, etc. Some such traditions wend their way through other civilizations, and it simply becomes a habit of that culture. Sometimes, it's just a choice by that individual. The gesture has no other meaning, except, possibly, "Ain't no way your lips are gonna touch mine!" ;)

Could mean several things, depends on the girl... You should really ask her. Cause she's probably waiting for you to be cute and ask her why she did it.

She might hear a crack in her voice and doesn't want anyone else to know. Or she didn't mean to laugh but she did. Depends on the girls, seriously. ask her

it could mean shes faking that its funny or shes shy to smile and she doesnt want to x-pose her smile. but 4 me it would be cause i am really shy when i comes to a smile. but if your alone it means your not funny so maybe ask her why or use this question as an open question when your with your friends and then you would find out what it is because girls are really hard to understand
yes girls are weird and different but in are eyes you guys are freaks.

that she doesn't like her smile or teeth.you should tell her what a great smile she has, make her feel better about herself.
