Cookies were created by early bakers that just used a tiny bit of cake dough in there ovens. What they were doing was just testing the temperature of the oven before they put the actual cake in for baking. I think it says the Dutch made the first cookies and it was called an accident. But I believe all the best baking discoveries are. Check out the rest on the link.
I like the Homemade Chocolate Chip cookies above all else. I think it says they too were first made by accident. Hope that helps! ERRRROOF!
