If you point your graphite pencil on a working cathodic PC or TV screen, what will happen ??? Are you in danger ?? In how big danger are you ?? What could be the intensity of the electricity striking you ??

What about a NOT- working cathodic screen.. if you do the same thing ??

And now let's come to Plasma screen.. They are built differently and they function differently. If you once again repeat the same procedure with a working Plasma screen.. what will happen to you ???

Now the same thing with a plasma screen connected to a machine that has been switched off.. ??

no matter what the answer is, could you explain even a bit WHY ?

of course I can touch the monitor with my fingers, and guess what I will have little electrical shocks !! But Graphite is such a good conductor, this might attract the entire electricity stored in the working or not working machine.... !! Am I wrong, again WHY ? Where am I wrong ??

It's possible you'll get a momentary little 'Static' tingle due to some build up of static electricity (which also attracts dust to the screen and casing) but, I think you'll get a bigger shock as you get out of a car with nylon seat covers and touch the car body.
TV's of all types and makes MUST be safe to touch and operate.

i'm not an electric powered engineer, so this isn't a expert answer, merely my opinion. Graphite is an magnificent conductor of electricity, so there is the prospect of it wearing 'juice' to the holder of a graphite pencil. Static electricity is the sole difficulty I see right here,(beside's completely screwing up an costly plasma exhibit screen, CRT displays will stay, LOL!). once you get interior the CRT exhibit screen, or Plasma is the prospect! Static build-up would desire to area a baby i think, yet do not undergo in strategies listening to of any undesirable situations the place this befell! that's merely terrific to maintain the dang graphite pencil off! touch exhibit screen might use one's finger's.

Plasma and cathode screens (the latter in my own experience) develop large static electric charges (which attract dust) which is so low current as to approach no risk at all. Graphite conducts electricity, but static is a surface effect anyway.
