You are incorrect to say it has been re-written, when in fact it has been copied many times. Sounds similar, but maybe you see there is potentially a big difference
Most of the copies of the Bible in English (or other languages) today are based on 3rd and 4th century manuscripts (Vatican, Alexandrian, Syriatic manuscripts) which are likely only one copy away from the originals. That being the case, the Bible you hold is likely only one translation and 4 copies from the one originally written.
Of course the typical concern is whether the copy was accurate. This is the value of the Dead Sea scrolls. Found in 1947, they were written between 100BC and 70AD. Comparisons to the Old Testament books found in them (among other books) and the current translations found little or no difference.

The Catholic church has Many original texts preserved in the Vatican. There is a great book called "Misquoting Jesus" and it shows the many areas that translators have screwed up on, but it also shows that the screw-ups don't add up to a different meaning. It's more like "They went" instead of "They were going".
The Bible is a spell book of magic words that have to be read exactially as they were initially written. The Bible is a story of Man's intrepretation of God (Old Testament) and the Teachings and Wisdom of God (New Testament).
The main principles are still there just as they wre 2000 years ago. Archeologest have found even older copies of some of the Gospels and through modern day translation see that the current Bible teaches the Same things and has the same message. Its just that most of it has "Slang" so to speak.

However I feel about the validity of the Bible, IMO is a compendium of stories, following the 10 commandments would make for a less stressful life Feelings of compassion, love, tolerance, acceptance, kindness, thoughtfulness, would pretty much erase bigotry, racism, hatred, etc. The religious hypocrites of the world have distorted the Bible, Koran, to control others and give a reason to slaughter nonbelievers.
It's been going on since humans created religion long before Christianity, Judaism, Islam, got into the picture.

I even have been fortunate to have study a replica of the Bible compiled right into a e book in 1640. jointly because it had some very thrilling records and is extremely distinctive from the edited variations obtainable today it has little or no in it which would be seen scientific. The Bible became into in no way produced to be a scientific rfile. Your examples eg: Clouds, Thunder and Lightening and their descriptions you have given are actually not a scientific technique for their existence. perform a little tutorial learn and notice the final motives for their existence.

How can people still say the Bible is accurate when it talks about an old man who matched up every tick and mite and got them to copulate on a boat? Talking snakes, talking donkeys, and the star of the whole thing is a magical zombie carpenter. Plus the earth is only 6,000 years old. I'm just saying, people who want to believe that this stuff is "accurate" are obviously not the most rational or incredulous people in the world.

The copying of the bible has been so articulate that when it was being copied should one mistake be found that whole copy was immediately burnt and destroyed.
there are many examples of evidence that the bible we have today is accurate e.g.
in 1947 some ancient manuscript fragments (dead sea scrolls) were found 1 being the entire book of Isiah which showed that the bible we know today is still the same as them.

When the Dead Sea scrolls were matched up with our current copies of the Bible the current Bibles matched up almost exactly with the scrolls. So the copying of Scripture has been very faithful over the years.

You most probably mean more than 1000 amendments; GOD himself could not make good forcast and modifications had to be made from time to time to the Bible to save God from blame; what can you expect from us now when we commit errors etc!

People can say whatever they like.
When it comes to the bible, this is a matter of faith. I say they WANT to believe--whatever--so they do. Fact, fiction. Makes no difference. They WANT to believe.
Faith is based on nothing but a decision to believe, conscious or unconscious, whether one grew up being indoctrinated or were sold on it later.
Sense is not any sort of requirement. That is very clear to me, not to those who 'believe.'
They think it's true therefore they believe. Actually, they believe, therefore they THINK it's true.
It's all hopelessly silly to me.

Beecause God is supposed to watch over the process and keep it perfect. Although I just read in the 1911 Encyclopedia Britannica that that only applies to manuscript copies - those written by hand.
