What we see during the day is recorded and our brain plays it over at night keeping the stuff that's important and deleteing the stuff we don't need to keep. Kind of like cleaning up the hard drive. Mother board
So if your watching TV shows that feature murder, rape and really horrible things that is what your dreams will be at night.
ONe girl always watched witches and thrillers and scary shows. She found she couldn't sleep and always felt the chain saw was cutting her up.
She said, she quit watching such shows and started to watch comedys and documentaries. The night mares went away.
She got more restful sleep and even quit reading murder mysterys. Her favorite books.
So she was able to sleep at night.
Be careful what you put in your brain during the day and it will not have to shuffle through it at night.

Jesus was tempted by Satan shortly before the crucifixion, and it is said that He lived a sin free life. If that is true, then being tempted to do something is not a sin. When you're asleep, you are not in control of your mind. Simply dreaming of something is not a sin.

THAT is aheavy question jesus says sin begins with our thoughts though in matthew chap 5 if u lust after a woman in your heart or women this means u to its sin , dreams are not significant unless its continual. u would have to change your thoughts ---------------Christ is God » As discerning the thoughts of the heart (1 Kings 8:39; Luke 5:22; Ezekiel 11:5; John 2:24,25; Revelations 2:23)
Heart, Character of the Unrenewed » Full of vain thoughts (Jeremiah 4:14)
Vanity » The thoughts of man are (Psalms 94:11)
Heart, The » GOD » Understands the thoughts of (1 Chronicles 28:9; Psalms 139:2)
Judgment, The » SHALL BE OF ALL » Thoughts (Ecclesiastes 12:14; 1 Corinthians 4:5)
Rebellion Against God » EXHIBITED IN » Walking after our own thoughts (Isaiah 65:2)
Vanity » SAINTS » Hate the thoughts of (Psalms 119:113)
Wisdom of God, The » EXHIBITED IN » Understanding the thoughts (1 Chronicles 28:9; Psalms 139:2)
this is what i came up with about thoughts on bible gateway i looked up filthy dreams and came up with Jude 1:8 sems to me , we need to be careful just what we thinkon then .. and yes prayer is needful , the bible in ------Romans 12
Living Sacrifices to God
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
now i was thinking that our thought s are generated in our mind and i asked myself what can we do about our minds then? this in romans 12 i came up with we need to be renewing our minds, make ourself a living sacrifice to GOD..
well thats what i came up with friend,, HOPE IT CAN be of help ! God bless ;;bro mj

not a sin to dream it, its a sin to commit it in your heart. That is to say, its a sin to consciously *want* to do those things.
