I am applying for a night shift job at a local PetSmart. They are asking me what I think the minimum I should be payed is. I am only 18 and have not had experience at a night job so I don't know how much I should suggest. The work is stocking supplies and all that jazz. I need money to pay my college tuition and I am a night owl so I figured since 3rd shift makes more then normal shifts I'd go for it. Your help is greatly appriciated.

You don't necessarily get extra for night shift, although if they are having trouble filling those positions, they might pay a premium.

Ask for about $3 over your state's minimum wage. They'll most likely already have a number in mind anyway that they pay for the job.

Good luck.

Depends on where you live and what the company pays. What you ask for is not so important, they will pay what they pay for the job. Ask for around $12 an hour.
