Islam and Christianity both have a history of becoming political. When this happens, there is typically trouble. Christianity, at least Protestant or non Catholic Christianity has hopefully seen the trouble of trying to make a Theocracy. It doesn't work, men are simply too evil. The main example I offer is the examples of the Roman Catholic Church, and the current Muslim thought that religious law is the only way to run a government.

In the past with the Roman Catholic Church and their 'official' status, they began to persecute all other people who professed Christianity who did not conform to their 'official' way. They tortured people, raped people, slaughtered millions, extorted people, imprisoned people, and attempted to bring all Christian thought under their rule. They did not succeed.

The Muslims have never learned the lesson of what happens when religion takes a political power. They see it as a way to deter crime. So they are easily seen as being fanatics, having their values places on the persecution of anyone they see as not conforming to their ways. So their 'official' status politically makes them stronger in the rights they have over those who are not conforming to their stated ways. It them becomes okay to kill for religious reasons.

Christianity in the Bible means that if you repent and begin to trust God through Jesus Christ, you will have peace with God. It is only a religion of peace in that manner, though most observant Christians are rather peaceful. It is not the religion of peace that the Muslims claim to be.

The Muslims have several problems when confronted with logic, especially since they say that they are the religion of peace when every country they control finds interesting ways to put people to death. They also seem to think it's okay to beat and kill their women when they do not agree with their women, not a very peaceful religion if you ask me.

So the Christian claim is that you can have peace with God, while the Muslim claim is simply turning a blind eye to all reason, while also preaching Jihad, which means 'struggle'. Struggle and peace are opposites! Peace is ceasing to struggle. And so I figure that we will have many more examples of the lack of peace from Islam in the future.

It's a long history, & the more you simplify the more facts you take out.

I can share some information with you, but it's not going to be everything. I would say many Christians & Muslims didn't follow the teachings of Jesus or Muhammad in many cases. Don't forget the role politicians played on both sides. And then you have ignorance among the masses. All of that helps in provoking lots of killing on both sides.

Since both want to show they are the BEST and more superior than each other is already a sign that they are not for peace. I take this opportunity to say that religion has done lots of harm to humanity at large; only the Human Right laws from the U.N will save us from all sorts of taboos.

They do not follow their own teachings. All religions have their extremists who wish to force their views and beliefs on others. It is these people who use violence to cram their religion down others throats.

Bush and most of the Supreme Court fall under this category. That is why our forefathers wrote freedom of religion into our Constitution. If it were not there any religious nut could make this country into a Religious Monarchy or a Theocracy!

Because they give too much emphasis and religious feeling for a place - Jerusalem, and not enough to the things within their respective religions that really matter.
The true believers at the end, will result in them believing that they will go to their respective paradise.
The other belivers, that give too much credence to man made laws and worship places rather than god, will not, at the day of judgement receive any reward.

i do no longer think of you comprehend what you ask, you assert Christianity has a violent historic previous, I now ask who committed the violence? It replaced into fallacious adult men who weren't fairly following Christ. all of us comprehend what Christ taught, and those human beings gets a in simple terms judgement, besides the undeniable fact that it does not exchange certainty. Now, who committed violence in Islam? None different than Muhammad... no longer basically that yet he had dozens of alternative halves, married his brothers spouse and slaughtered human beings and dealt with human beings incorrect. He taught violence on MANY occassions. something I heard... we are all corrupted, sinful human beings. Is there a answer to this? confident! Separate the fallacious human failings from what the Church teaches. don't be distracted by using human habit. seem on the twelve. After 3 years they did no longer comprehend Jesus - and that they heard the Gospel from our Lord's mouth! They walked with Him. They ate, slept, traveled, taught, observed and achieved miracles beside Him. yet, they quarreled. They disobeyed. They denied. They betrayed. They deserted Him. in short, they have been human in simple terms as you and that i are. How did their habit regulate the Gospel message that they taught? It did no longer. try this: rather of staring on the sins of the Church (which at the instant are not taught), focus on the undeniable fact that the Church teaches. considering Christ Himself used sinful adult men to proclaim the Gospel, can we heavily assume something much less in the different age? The Church is an assembly of sinful people who're striving - some greater helpful than others - in direction of the perfection which God desires from each individuals. The Church is the enterprise which announces the Gospel by which we try in direction of that purpose. Christ did no longer set up a suitable Church - none individuals might qualify for club. He left a suitable certainty interior the custody of a less than excellent Church so as that shall we persist with that certainty and locate redemption.

Religion is the worst invention of mankind. Throughout history, millions have died in the name of religion. The only event that SEPARATES Christianity from the word RELIGION is the fact that Jesus arose from the grave after 3 days.

IF Jesus did not rise from the grave, then all we have is religion and we do not need another religion to drive us further up the wall.

BUT, now HE IS RISEN and will come back one day!

You know the song! To everything there is a season, turn, turn, turn, ....well it came from the bible! -Ecclesiastes
