i was playing motorstorm when my ps3 froze... i pressed the reset button and since then every time i put any cd into my ps3, it wont recognise it... i tried the restore but my ps3 wont recognise games, blu ray, dvd... nothing!! what do i do short of returning it? i still have my guarantee but is there anything i can do to fix it myself?

Once you ran restore did run update after? And if you rent alot of games you'll need to clean the lens reader. Just get a good brand dvd lens cleaning disc. It can't hurt to try it.

You need to call or email Sony before you go returning the PS3. I haven't had this problem before since I've had my PS3, so I don't know really what to tell you.
Just look in your Users Manual or go to us.playstation.com and find a Customer Support telephone number from Sony and tell them the problem that you're having.
