was it a previously frozen bird??
that means it was thawed 3 - 4 days ago???
Now add your 3 ??? that = 7 - 8 days..
In today's market I doubt it is spoiled ...
Just wash it clean with salt - - and cook today...
OR
contact the store manager (he) may advise your return it.
there is a major difference from fresh (killed) and fresh frozen.
I don't know of any market selling fresh killed without you reserving it by appointment..
Happy Hollidays...♥

If it has an odd smell that you don't remember your other turkey having, bring it back to the grocery where you bought it. It's better to be safe then sorry.

i would return the bird... and get a new one... you dont need a reciept, just return it to the service desk and tell them it smells funny, they dont want to risk being sued for selling you a bad bird, tell them you just want to exchange it....
I wouldnt eat it, i would rather buy 5 birds than eat 1 bad one.... food poisoning is no fun trust me!!

take it to the neighbors so they can smell it, or invite someone over to smell it. is better to ask first someone that recognized this smell. plus you can share your turkey with him too.
