there is no school counsellor, there are people who we are meant to talk to if we need to in school. but if they find out you self harm or anything like that they tell your parents coz its the law. hint hint.

the best person to ask is your doctor. find the strengh to go. they do not have to tell your parents about so long as you are over a certain age. 16 in the UK. you may well be suffering from depression like so many other teens. if you feel you cant do this, is there a teacher that you trust who can help you?

take care and good luck

Well you cannot get professional help because inorder to do that you need to tell your parents, and judging by what you are saying you are not to happy with them right now. So for right now professional help is out of the question. Do not lose hope though here is another solution. Talk to your school counselor. Trust me everything that goes on between you and your counselor is confidential and you parents will not get involved unless you want them to.

Is there someone else you can speak to? Maybe you can speak to a teacher or guidance counselor at school that you trust about how you feel. You are strong enough to deal with this and you have to deal with it. You don't need to tell your parents you feel that way partly because of them, just tell them you feel like you need to talk to someone to help you sort through some feelings you have. They love you and will want to help you, they don't want to see you hurting and sad.

If you can't go to your folks how about a school counselor or a minister? There is always someone you can talk to and it's a good sign that you recognize that you have a problem.

older family members may just tell your parents. Thats not so bad, but if you don't want them to know thats your business, but just go to a clinic. Find the name and number of one online in your area and just go there and talk to someone.
