If your belief is the only thing that keeps you a moral person, then yes, you should. If your belief is what makes you have hope, you should. But if your belief makes you hate yourself, or causes you despair and disappointment, or keeps you from doing things you want to do, then you should reevaluate your belief.

You do as you please.
He does not give us sorrows. He gives me a lot of happiness. Bad things happen to all of us in life. People you love die. You lose friends. You get sick.
How is that God's fault? We bring a lot of sorrow upon ourself.

To believe or not is our choice. However, when we choose to believe, our choice should be an informed one. We should choose to believe from earnest, sincere, and careful search.
Most sorrow comes from making choices that bring us sorrow, or from having wrong thinking about who and what we are and what it means to be human. Collective sorrow comes from collective wrong thinking and wrong choices.

God is energy of broad spectrum that yet to be define and adapted by mankind ... the origin of time and universe. I can't see any reason why should we not believe.
.
Or ... instinctively:
.
God - is a psychological being to everyone, where to seek refuge in time of crisis and something to cling-on, a shelter of emotion when everything are down the limbo and desperation. God exist within the inner self of everyone and always within reach in time of needs to sustain emotional pain and depression and at this particular mode, God will surely prop-up and boost well being to overcome oddities and will cause to tackle everything with full strength and inspiration.

No, you shouldn't believe in the god portrayed in any religious books/ scriptures, but you can believe in a higher power if you so choose. The character described in certain religions is selfish, judging, and evil. Personally, I think that one can live a more fulfilling life with the absence of God.

Only if you want to.
God doesn't cause sorrow.
Sorrow is your mind and body's reaction to unfavorable events.
