No, because it would make "Do not have any other gods before Me" a crime, which would mean that everyone not Christian, Muslim, or Jewish would be committing a crime.

Other useless ones:
Thou shalt not make for thyself an idol

Thou shalt not make wrongful use of the name of thy God (saying "oh my god!" would be criminal)

Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy

Also, the whole "coveting" stuff is thought control.

No. There would be more crime.

First, commandments like keeping the Sabbath, having no other Gods and honoring thy father and mother would be next to impossible to enforce. We couldn't enforce prohibition for goodness sake!

Second, imagine the level of vigilante "justice" carried out by true believers against people who live in the United States who don't happen to follow the ten commandments.

First of all, the Ten Commandments were ripped off from the Code of Hammurabi (who didn't worship any gods), which predates the Ten by about 300 years.

Secondly, crimes are committed by people who have antisocial personality disorders, and no number of "Christian God's laws" are going to make them conform to society's rules or expectations. It just won't happen. Get used to the idea.

Men create laws, not gods. We create laws to control or punish those who cannot-- and will not-- control themselves. It's called "civilization."

Is a decide condemned for sending a offender to his loss of life? I even have never heard of one. God is the magnificent Ruler of the universe. Who can tell Him what he's meant to do? We won't comprehend His strikes now yet while all is asserted and performed we can declare Him to be "righteous" (Rev. sixteen:5). "He that ruleth interior the heavens is the single that sees the tip from the commencing up--the single earlier whom the mysteries of the previous and the destiny are alike outspread, and who, previous the woe and darkness and destroy that sin has wrought, beholds the accomplishment of His own applications of love and blessing. nonetheless "clouds and darkness are around approximately Him: righteousness and judgment are the commencing place of His throne." Psalm ninety seven:2, R.V. And this the inhabitants of the universe, the two unswerving and disloyal, will sooner or later comprehend. "His artwork is suited: for all His techniques are judgment: a God of reality and with out iniquity, merely and precise is He." Deuteronomy 32:4."

In my view, the Ten Commandments aren't rules or laws. They're so vague that they can only be defined as guidelines. For example, the sixth commandment (or fifth for Catholics) is 'Thou shalt not kill'. If we take that as it is, it means we can't eat, breathe (as we kill microscopic organisms just by breathing) or do anything.

We could translate it as 'Thou shalt not murder' but, again, we have to work out what constitutes murder. According to dictionaries, murder is unlawful killing, and if the Ten Commandments were the law, we have no basis for what is and is not lawful killing.

This is exactly what Sharia Law sets out to do. It is harsh but seeks to lay down the discipline often necessary in an errant society. I'm afraid we have all travelled down the road of self will for too long for us to accept such discipline in the West. The other way of looking at it is, Do you impose self discipline or wait for someone else to do it for you?

Sure... that will be a lot of fun!... When crime against humanity is the law of the land... THERE WILL BE NO CRIME!!!

Titus 2:9 (NIV) Teach slaves to be subject to their masters in everything, to try to please them, not to talk back to them,

Exodus 21:20-21 NIV “If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished* (*but how? A slap in the wrist?), but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property* (*KJV says “his money”).

So you can keep beating your male or female slave to a pulp every third day and as long as he/she recovers you are a holy person before our Loving God and Heavenly Father! The whole Bible is decisively pro slavery!

1 Peter 2:18 (NIV) Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh.

Exodus 21:7-8 (NIV) "If a MAN SELLS his DAUGHTER (i.e. NOT HIS SON but his daughter!!!) as a SLAVE, SHE is not to go free as male slaves do (Biblical Sexual Discrimination 101). If she does not please the master who has selected her for himself (for whatever kinky pleasure), he must let her be redeemed. He has no right to sell her to foreigners, because he has broken faith with her.

Can you imagine her fate if her God fearing daddy doesn't want her back and her master is a sadistic sexual pervert?

Luke 16:17 (NIV) (Jesus said) It is easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for the least stroke of a pen to drop out of the Law.
