He's got survival instincts. He'll find some warm place to hole up (possibly under someone's dryer vent).

The cat will be fine. He'll find places that are warm. Like a warm car engine. Hehe... imagine how surprised you'd be when you wake up to go to school/work and when you turn the car on there is smoke coming out of your hood and blood all over the fanbelt. Maybe even a torn up kitty collar dangling on a battery terminal. heh.....I miss you Mr. boots *sniff*

well 18 degrees wouldnt be bad, but negative 18 thats pretty frikin cold!!! i think he/she will be ok, cats have fur so they stay pretty warm, i live in NC and it gets pretty cold here around 20 degrees and she stays out allllll night but shes happy about it. dont worry unless he doesnt come home for a few days then be worried! good luck!

oh, 18 degrees celcius? No problem! My cats get locked out all the time in the snow, they just go under the deck. (Ones really fat, and ones skinny)

Oh dear- I can see how THAT can happen!
Hopefully your cat found somewhere warm to stay. Try calling him now: He'll probably be eager to come back inside.
Good luck!

Is there an entrance that your cat could voluntarily have returned through? Your cat would revert to survival mode, if need be. I'm sure he is fine!

Maybe your cat managed to find a warm place to stay and survived, but chances are slim. Without food he won't last long, you have to find him quick. Sorry about that.

make sure you check him for any blood and scratches first then fell him like tiny tiny pushes all over to see if he's hurt if he is not then wrap him up in a blanket and if he is not take him to a professional hope this helps
