Sorry about this, but; setting fire to your donuts.
Skiing- particularly cross country is very strenuous.
Edit: I don't know if you took it the wrong way as Line 1 wasn't really a personal comment, but it is a quick way to BURN calories.

Walking upstairs actually burns more calories than other strenuous activities, such as cross country running, sports, etc.
Based on your age, weight and gender, these are the calories you burn according to activity (per hour):
At rest: 47 kcal/hr
Sitting: 61 kcal/hr
Standing: 70 kcal/hr
Washing/dressing: 154 kcal/hr
Walking slowly: 131 kcal/hr
Walking quickly: 215 kcal/hr
Walking upstairs: 387 kcal/hr
Light work (housework, etc.): 154 kcal/hr
Moderate work (tennis, jogging, dancing, etc.): 252 kcal/hr
Strenuous work (cross-country running, football, etc.): 355 kcal/hr
so, walking or running up stairs (or hills) would be the quickest way of burning calories. Glad to see that you are looking toward excercise as a way of losing weight and not some of these faddy diets that can be really bad for your body (and mood), especially as you are at an age where your body is still developing. A balanced diet and regular excercise is definately the best way, and it makes you feel good too.
PS You don't mention your height, but 5 stone doesn't sound like you need to lose that much weight anyway. Try to concentrate on eating healthily and taking regular excercise instead of worrying about your weight. If it really concerns you, go and see your GP who will be able to give you more detailed advice on a healthy lifestyle.

There are a lot of ways, actually. But the best way is to have an exercise everyday. Jogging, skipping rope, aerobics can also help burn calories. If you are tired enough, you can go to a sauna, but it doesn't burn calories quickly. Maintain a regular diet. Eat vegetables. Avoid oily foods. If possible, avoid eating rice too. Good luck!

The quickest way is by strength training. You burn several calories while lifting weights, you build more muscle which increases the speed of your metabolism, thus aiding you to burn more fat daily. If however, your no interested in strength training, the best forms of cardio would be either swimming, running, or the elliptical machine.

Cross country skiing is probably the number one sport for calorie burning. If that's not an option any "continous" aerobic exercise (running, biking, swimming, etc.) for a minimum of 30 minutes will get your furnace burning.

the key is consistency, there is no point in say so and so thing burns 200 calories in 30 mins then doing it once and never again, and eating well if you burn 200 cals training and then eat 500 you are not doing to well are you.
