I state that there is no such thing as "supernatural".

now, this does not, in the way that I am saying it, mean that the things people call supernatural, do not exist. (well, some do not, but alot of it is real too)

how can I belive both of these things, it seems rather obviously contradictory?

well, this is an issue of defining "supernatural" the word itself would mean that its outside of the natural world. and this is inaccurate. or rather, it would be more accurate to say that the computer your using to read this, is more "supernatural" than say, ghosts.

how? if you were to accept that ghosts existed, would they not be a phenomena in the natural course of things?
computers sure aren't "natural" in that sense.

would it change anything, for those who don't "believe" in the "supernatural", if it was in fact, merely an extension of nature that is entirely beyond the current scope of science?

that is, in a way similar to how science involving say, atoms or quantum mechanics, would be "beyond science" of a few hundred years ago.

and yes, this means that in my view of things, the metaphysical world is NOT entirely isolated from the scientific method. simply that it operates on a "level" entirely larger than science deals with.

I am talking about a scientific discovery and/or revelation that would make the discovery of the atom or DNA look like .... figuring out how to make steel or something like that. a truly world-changing discovery.

the existence of the "supernatural" is probably not the best word that could be used to describe what is actually meant by the term... the first place to look for the "supernatural" is the space in between your ears! there are those that say if a person does or doesn't have what it takes you see it by his mental ability to imagine it then he doesn't have the gift. just because he may say he sees or thinks he sees it really doesn't mean anything one way or the other because we live in the "natural." supernatural, another dimension, spirit world, astral plane or any other theoretical term for that existence is futile to prove to someone else one way or the other unless you enjoy debating and arguing. however, if a person sees it for him or herself and touches that reality more power to them!!!

The Supernatural power of God supercedes that which is natural. For instance the law gravity and the law of physics, the Supernatural power of God can cause what goes up to stay up, the Supernatural power of God is what enabled Jesus to walk on water. A miracle is the Supernatural power of God at work. Simply put , what is spirit in the spirit realm is more real than what is in this physical realm or world, therefore it has more power. The word "ghost" and the word "spirit" have the same meaning. Everything in the spirit world is more powerful than everything in this physical world. We humans are spirits. A disembodied man, woman or child loose in this physical world could do whatever they wanted to do and no one could stop them mainly because they would not be under the laws of this physical world, and I'm talking about laws such as the law of gravity and the law of physics, the law of force, the law of thrust etc. etc. Thats why when our physical body is no longer functional we must leave that body and leave this physical world. Man, who is a spirit,by Gods law has no right to be in this physical world except in the physical body.Satan and all of his cohorts by God's law has no right to be in this physical world,that's why Satan works through people. God himself by his own law has no right to be in this physical world. That's why God works through people. And every Christian has that supernatural power of God in them. God's Holy Spirit administrators that power as needed to over come the wilds of the devil and anything and everything in this natural world..

Computers aren't natural in the sense that they are synthetic and manufactured, i.e. don't occur naturally, not that they are supernatural.
With respect to things (say ghosts) existing which are perceived to be supernatural by some people and are not currently known or explicable to modern science, and whether there are things people have seen which have been discredited because they are not scientifically measurable or observable that is possible. It is also possible they just didn't see them.

Basically I agree.
Too narrow and a restrictive defintion of "nature" tends to require a category of "supernatural"

If nature is whatever actually exists, however weird, unexpected, the category effectively vanishes.

If something appears in conflict with current expectations or models of nature, the resolution is either that the phenomenon is not what it appears to be, or that our models of nature are inadequate.
Jumping to this odd category of "beyond nature!" hardly helps.

But our failure to suppose should be taken into account, before inferring the easy excuse of "the supernatural".

The God of the gaps is becoming increasingly smaller. The more science finds out the less people can claim anything is "supernatural". We may never know everything but to say "I don't know" is far more honest than "it must be God".

are you refering to quantrum FAITH? where the mood of people attract good or evil??
this is HOW HEALING WORKS..by LOVE.
LOVE is positive..
bitterness, unforgiveness..hatred..anger is oppostie of healing.or peace..or joy.or love..or blessing or prosperity.
LOVE kindness, goodness, thoughtfulness BRING REWARDS..eventualy back to the SOWER of LOVE.

and GOD is LOVe.
send his SON..as a seed
as a love offering as payment for all of our sins.
and prosperity came..worldwise..to them nation that BELIEVED.
them nation that don't..remind in LABOR to prospered
vs nation prospered because they love express to the weak..and defeated.
this is WHY USA grew into propserity after rebuilding the war torn nations.
and now..america reject GOD.
america rotting..at the core.
and like the roman empire a nation like ours...can/could fall.

because as it is written
we can't serve two master..love of MONEY or LOVE to GOD.
as scripture said..loveofmone..is the ROOT..foundaiton of ALL EVIL..
note america losing jobs? abortion..(anti love there..people have trouble making babies..ect)

so yes...you are onto something
supernatural..is very real
and that existed FIRST before the existance of US humans.
who are made in the IMAGE(light..truth..love, spiritual supoernatural) and have his likeness.

the proper response is i dont know-not thats its supernatural-or god did it-in time we learn more and understand more-if ghost are found to exist then ghost are natural also---just my thoughts-smile and enjoy the day

you do know supernatural is also defined as "unexplainable by natural law or phenomena"
