I live where it gets very very cold outside therefore I wouldn't dream of an outdoor wedding in that season. Although my cousin has some very beautiful pictures outside with the frost but they had the wedding in a church and the reception was insdie. I guess it depends on what the temperature gets. A summer wedding you could rent a large tent which is beautiful in the event it would rain. Personally I would do the summer wedding outside before the winter wedding plus you will have all the flowers in season too therefore it will less expensive. You won't need a coat and flowers are in season. In addition you can combat the weather with a tent. Those tents have heaters as well.

If you don't have an easy time with weather conditions like myself I would stay away from the outdoor wedding. You dress may be very large and heavy. I easily get heat stroke therefore not a good plan for me.

You cannot actually have the legal part of your ceremony (vows) outside, under British law this is not allowed, what you could do is have a civil ceremony at a registry office and then have someone from the Humanist society come and conduct your outside ceremony, although this is not legally binding. In the UK it is always risky planning an outdoor event, make sure you have a plan B, such as a marquee in place so that if it does rain your guests can take cover. The best months for good weather in the UK is August and September, even months like June/July can be very wet here.

If you live in the UK then I wouldn't worry too much about things heating up in the warmer seaons :-) Personally, spring is the BEST time for outdoor weddings...

I'm having an outdoor wedding in November of next year (spring in Australia), and I have already seen the gardens at that time of year - everything is in bloom, the weather is mostly sunny but not too hot... It's perfect!

I wouldn't recommend an outdoor wedding in winter, unless you're prepared to wear a ski suit in place of a wedding dress lol =)

I adore the idea of an outdoor wedding. Just make sure you have a plan to deal with the weather if it rains or whatever.
