Me: 100% Against!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Amnesty (from the Greek amnestia, oblivion) is an act of justice by which the supreme power in a state restores those who may have been guilty of any offence against it to the position of innocent persons. It includes more than pardon, inasmuch as it obliterates all legal remembrance of the offence. The word has the same root as amnesia."

In other words, allowing those who have broken the law a free pass....

I'm perplexed. You only have 28% or 300,000* in the Federal jpens and another 300,000 in the stae pens*. then you have out of the almost 9 million visas our loving country issues each year only a little over a third of them hide out in the country and break that law when the visa expires. that's only 3 millin visa jumpers each year. then on the southern border they state that 300,000* come across each month (205 numbers, before the mating call of the democrats "amnesty"), so that number could be much higher.

Then what's wrong with the 800,000 something the Border Patrol did caught and sent packing. Yes 1 in 7 was from a terror sponsoring country, so what's wrong with that. they state taht for every one caught another 5 get through. So I guess you could have 600,000 from those countries.

So you only have 3+ million visa jumpers and then 3.6 million from down south and since we know Mexico has strict immigration standards, then we know those people they let through have to be good people or have the money to pay the authorities to get here. So there may be only 40-60 million illegals here now.

Then again people need their drugs and these folks do bring the drugs. i still cannot see how mexico fits in unless they get paid big to let these folks in I know some pay $3000 and they bring them to the border.. At the Panama Canal are there not 15,000 Chinese troops. Strange indeed.

So why would you be against illegal immigration, the 2.2 trillion dollar burden we face, the closed hospitals, the crime the drugs, did someone run into you with no insurance and you only had liability and now are getting around on Sam and Dave. What's up? You know what I'm for. Secure the border, ten rack nad stack. Give the country a break and charge evey country where they are fro to return, including Mexico and make them stop the millions from the south America and outerh countries from being brought here and also the ones that fly in and jump visas.

Willie kicked up legal immigration to 2.5 million and Bush brought it back to 1 million a year, so we hae over 30 million new Ameericans or 10 % of the population and antoher 205 that are illegal.. What is going on. take care.

Against anything that grants illegals the right to remain and stay in the country.

Against everything that that allows illegals to have what is only meant for legal American citizens. That includes the jobs employers illegally hire them to do. Along with educating them and their children, non-emergency medical costs or expenses, welfare, WIC program, etc...

No one has proposed amnesty. In the dream act there was a $5,000 fine. A fine does not equal amnesty. People just overstate the nature of the crime. It shouldn't be treated any more harshly than a traffic violation as it is just a technical crime.

I am against amnesty for illegals -- for people who break into our country and thumb their noses at us.

Do American citizens get amnesty for breaking laws? Do we tell thieves we'll let them go because they were only trying to better their lives and the lives of their families? No, we don't.

Everytime it has been applied to immigration it has made a bad situation...WORSE!
Ike had the right idea. LBJ and Ted Kennedy betrayed that concept and America in 1965...Their seditious legacy lives on.
