Why would anyone in his/her sanity choose to be persecuted and punished as prescribed by Scriptures?

And why did ''God'' create male G-spot inside the rectum if he didn't want men to explore it?

BS if you ask me.

Hi,

First, you have to understand that, at least in the Christian faith, there are two covenents, old and new. God knows we can not keep the laws, thats why he sent Christ to cover us and be a perfect sacrifice. We are sinners, what sin we commit is not important. There is no such thing as a big sin or a little sin.

Second, look at the original pairing in the Bible it was a man and woman. Meant to bare children and help each other. Many read that and say, "And that's the real reason God doesn't condone Homosexuality". I disagree. I can not have children, I was born this way, to barrow a phrase. Does that mean I should not have married. Oh well I did and that marriage is a blessed one.

Next, many people latch on to a "Holy Grail" sin. Something they would never do. They claim this is the ultimate sin. in doing so they feel better about themselves and the things they do. Notice, since an increase in out of wedlock births you rarely ever see a minister talk negatively about that situation. In many cases they don't because half their congregation had children out of wedlock and they would lose their "flock".

Now here is the biggy, King David is said to be a man after God's own heart. Yet he broke everyone of the LAW given to Moses to present to the Hebrews. King David was not a man after God's own heart because he did such wonderful things, it was because he sought out GOD AT ALL TIMES.

God wants us to love each, to come to him through Christ as you are not as the law would have you be. Law are for the lawless. If the Hebrews were doing as they were supposed God would not have had to give the law in the first place. But they were running a muck and order needed to be called before things got out of hand.

Law are laws but God is more concerned about you coming to him then whether you did rule X exactly as worded.

So my answer to you is stop worrying about the LAWS in the Holy books and look at the meaning. For every law in the Bible there is a story counteracting it with God present and accounted for. He loves you. I hope I made sense.

Your line of thinking has been used many times before. Not to long ago it was believed that the sun and planets revolved around the earth, the earth is flat, and flight was not possible. At some time throughout history the most modern science had some way to prove or disprove any event or idea. Medical science can not "prove" anything about gay people, it's someones personal opinion. Being gay is a personal decision, no one is born that way. Have you ever seen a gay chimp? Not me. Science "proves" we evolved from chimps; does that mean gay people are more evolved then the rest of us? If evolution is involved we should be hearing stories about gays getting each other pregnant! The Bible wrote about sins thousands of years ago, not much has honestly changed.

Are these the same scientists that used to drain blood from people, because they thought that would cure them? Or maybe the highly advanced brains u r talking about are those that think we evolved from something lower than a slug. If you get HIV go to those doctors you trust in and see if they have the answer. If they had read the bible they would have known the life is in the blood. Christ does not condone subjugation of women, child marraiges, rape, polygamy and slavery. But love. John 3:16 not condemnation.

One can find support for just about any position one pleases to take about ANYTHING. Just because SOME researchers say something, doesn't mean it's true or not contradicted by other researchers.

The fact is, homosexuality is incompatible with procreation. That makes it unnatural, because it is antithetical to the survival instinct.

I don't care if it's a sin or not. As a parent, I would prefer that homosexuality stay in the closet -- not touted as an "alternative lifestyle". Call me peculiar, but I'd like to have grandkids.

I think alot people out there believe it goes against what God intended. -and that is why many, not all, but many people do indeed go as far as to say it's evil.

I think the rest of the people won't say it's evil, but can't help but point out that it really seems to go against what God intended.

And you're right it is a human trait, though I think it's better to say that it is a "normally occuring trait", not so much a "normal trait".

As far why you should believe some "outdated religious book"?.... DON'T!!!! I think it's common sense, not some out-dated religious book, that tells us we were given reproductive abilities to reproduce.

God gave us free will. We are free to do what we feel is right. Thus, free will allows us to use our reproductive abilities as we see fit. If you feel homosexuality is right then you are free to guide your will towards that.

First of all, its not normal. Any normal sexual relations result in reporduction. Not the case there.

And second, homosexuality is a result of the sinfulness of man.

Third of all, the bible is not an outdated religious book. It is as relevant today as it was 2000 years ago. MEdical knowlege is the one that is flawed - because it is forever changing, unlike the bible that is the one constant source of knowledge.

This is a very simple question, really. Do you really want to have to decide morality all by yourself? Wouldn't it be much easier just to have cut and dried rules to live by. So they are pathetic and don't really care about most of humanity. Isn't that a small price to pay for not having to think for yourself?

that's the thing you don't have to believe anything.
you have that choice.

according to religious beliefs if anyone lays with there own sex and has relations as a man and wife would it is considered a sin against there own body. it also referrers to animals that way as well.

but you have to already believe in god and hold to those standers. and principality's if not it all good and do your thing

it is your choice to believe or not

I am gay, I'm an atheist, and my academic interest is primarily in the field of cognitive science (I hold degrees in Computer Science and Psychology).

However, let me point out one minor error -- homosexuality is not normal. It is statistically abnormal, estimates in the USA for homosexuality amongst males is approximately 10%.

Heterosexuality is normal. Homosexuality is not normal.

What you MEAN is that homosexuality is not disordered.

There is very little intersection between Religion and Medical Science.
