i have consistant muscle tension and pain ( from the minute i wake up to the minute i go back to sleep). The pain jumps shifts sided (right to left) and is not localized (from head to toe).

The pain is no intense bu it just feeels very uncomfortable.

have tried magnesium pills, anti depressants and a llot of other medictions that didn't work.

my doctor is thinking f putting me on tegrtol to increase pain threshold .... any comments ?

It could be anything from your bed, pillows, and even the kind of shoes you are wearing. Have you tried getting a second opinion? Pain Clinics are good @ pinpointing the cause and getting the proper treatment for you. It can be caused by a variety of reasons, but, pain means a problem. Here are some sites below to help you out. Have you tried taking up to 800 mg of ibuprophen every 6 hours? This is a great anti-inflammatory. While @ rest you may want to try icing the area. While up and around, there is a product called Thermacare, it is like having an heating pad without and electric cord and works up to 8 hours, penetrating to the core of the pain. To get rid of this problem you need to see a chiropractor. They can identify what is causing this and you won't have to use drugs. I recommend you see a chiropractor as soon as possible. You will be glad you did.

sounds to that it is muscle spasms and your spine is pinching a nerve
