I have been given a Breville Sandwich Toaster and I have no instructions with it. It has been used before so it won't need to be primed in any way.

How do you use it?

They get pretty hot when they work. It's probably not that important that they're clean. You might consider a diablo sandwich toaster; you put it straight on your cooker-top - it doesn't have any heat-source of its own, and when you're done, you shove it in the sink with the dishes. Also their sandwiches don't leak all over the place.

Make a sandwich in tyhe normal way, any type though cheese is good. Place it in the toaster. Then it is trial and error really to find how long to heat it, unless it is auto. thats all there is to it really.

Hiya

Get 2 slices of bread and butter one side as though you were making a sandwich...but then put one of them buttered side down on the hotplate...to stop it from sticking and make it go crispy! Put your filling in and then put the other slice of bread on top so as the buttered side will again be touching the hotplate when you close the lid.

Close the lid, wait about 3 mins and hey presto! Toasties!

Hope that helps, enjoy!

Just make a sandwich in the normal way and put it in the toaster and turn it on

Butter the bread and make sure the butter side is on the outside, it stops it sticking. put the bottom slice in, add your filling, put the top slice of bread on then close it. not sure if on a breville there is a light that goes off when its right temp/cooked or not but just keep an eye on it and remember the filling will be hot!

I know! It can't be put in water, so it's difficult to clean properly. I usually leave it to cool, so any sticky bits can set hard, and easily be taken off. Then I just go over it with a damp cloth.
