Homosexuals and lesbians are religion's most hated. They are followed by women who want equality and non-believers.

Is there something hidden, inherent in all religions, where a god of sorts watching over you implies his preference towards you, meriting bigotry towards others? Or is this simply human group behaviour?

Please share your thoughts.

"Homosexuals and lesbians are religion's most hated."

Nearly all of of the prejudice against homosexuality/bisexuality etc comes from patriarchal religions that originate from the Middle East.

Go figure.

"Like the classic Greeks, the Azande of the Southern Sudan, expected homosexual relationships to supplement the practice of heterosexually-based marriage."

Compare that to today's (Islamic) Sudan?

That is a good question. I don't think any religion starts with hate in mind, but it seems to be a result. I simply put this poor answer in here because I want to see if there is a descent answer to this question. Most religion question are overdone and boring. I'd like to see how the devout wiggle out of this one. I'm sure there will be a lot of lashing out.

Wow,.. now your putting word in the mouth of God himself.

What's wrong with women thinking they are men's equals?

When God created Eve from Adam,.. he took a part of Adam away to create Eve. Thus the difference between men and women was created to consolidate life's needs into roles toward each other. It takes love between the sexes to look beyond these differences. Homosexual science says we have to accept the biasses gained from being homosexual.

*************
truth be told..."First, the study seems to rule out the possibility that homosexuality is caused entirely by genetic causes. Identical twins are genetically exactly the same, so the correlation would have to be 100%, not 52%, if the homosexuality were entirely a genetic condition."

it's all about the facts you want to look at. The rest you ignore.

for some people, hating what they don't understand is easier than following God's command of love thy neighbor as thyself.

If you don't like or don't agree with another's beliefs or lifestyle, that's no reason to hate the person.

I don't agree with many of the ideas brought about in these question and answer sessions, but I can still respect each of you for your beliefs.

No i think its group behavior influenced by the culture you find yourself in.

The Bible says seek out the word for yourself. Just because someone who claims they are a christian does one thing, doesnt mean they are a spokesperson for that faith( even though it is a bad showing...) Follow your heart, because its you alone who stands in front of God for your actions...
