Basically, at that age, all girls have this whole moody clique thing going on. Be prepared for BACKSTABBING and SPACE PIRATING of each others FRIENDSHIPS. You are in a warzone my friend. Find girls that aren't like that. FIND SOMEONE SPECIAL. Relate to them. Befriend them.

BE A SPACEMAN

This isn't really boy advice, but get involved in everything you can. DON'T be someone invisible who just floats through school, never really getting involved.

Join sports teams, study groups, drama club, newspaper, anything and everything you're into. Even if it seems really dorky , hey, you can meet geeky smart people there (which is great when you need a study partner at exam time). You're pretty much guaranteed popularity because you'll know so many people, both in your own year and others. It's also a good way to meet guys into the same thing as you.

Also, choose wisely who you want to be in high school, that label can stick with you for the rest of your life. Don't be the slut, the *****, the whinger, the drama queen or the depressed the emo. Also, don't gossip, ***** or backstab. We've all done it from time to time, but in high school, if you say something nasty about someone, trust me, they'll hear about it. Just try to be that cool, friendly, funny, happy, energetic, cute and cruisey girl who chats with everyone, hangs out with a big group of friends and is always having the best time of her life.

And don't go too far with a boy you've just met, no matter how much you like them. Everyone will find out, and you don't need that reputation. Boys will pay attention to the girl in the miniskirt acting all flirty, but those are the girs they sleep with and dump, not the ones that they fall in love with.

And from an academic point of view - pay attention!!! The big change between middle and high school is that your teachers are now teaching hundreds of students a day, they don't have the time or energy to push you to pay attention and do your best.

Good luck honey, i hope you look back in the future and see them as the best years of your life :)

Focus on your education and worry about that when you have graduated college and established a career for yourself. It sounds crazy and old but I promise you it is the best things I can say to you

mmh Im 13 too..

Welll..I think you should be attracted to how they treat other people and not just you..

and also how hygenic they are..

See if they bring out the best in you and if you like the way they dress and their personality..

Lastly, their disposition

(this goes for both girls and guys)
