so far Ive had a bad diet mostly eating burgers and fat stuff. Im usually always tired now even though Im starting to get around 9-10 hours of sleep (even though some could be from depression but I dont think I'm that depressed)

so what kinds of foods do I need to eat to stay more active and not get so sleepy

Make healthy food choices - complex carbs, lean protein, healthy fats, fruit, veggies, milk products, legumes, etc.
Eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of big ones - it will keep your blood sugar more stable. When you eat big meals far apart (more than 3 hours apart) your blood sugar spikes and then falls which makes you sleepy and tired.
Drink at least 64oz of water a day.

Just eat a healthy, balanced diet low in refined sugars and flour and exercise to get your blood flowing. Eat semi-frequently (Like every 2-4 hours) in small portions (small snacks basically) so that your blood sugar level doesn't drop. Make sure you also consume enough water or milk but not sugary-caffienated beverages and avoid fried or fatty foods (especially ones heavy in salt).
