i need your help.
my cousin keeps getting high off this stuff,
coricidin cough and cold for high blood pressure-
it has chlorpheniramine maleate
and
dextromethorphan hydrobromide
he took like 4 of these little pills.
the box says take one,
not more than 4 in 24 hours.
he doesnt have high blood pressure
and hes 18.
what effects does it have,
can he die from it?
if he keeps doin it,
what will happen to him?

cant tell no one he says
he says its natural like weed
and its from the store so its legal

Look it up on a web search. There have been alot of teenagers who have developed severe heart problems due to Triple C (what they are calling Coriciden, cough & cold). It increases your heart rate and makes your heart work harder. It can cause a heart attack. There was a football player doing his work out and had a heart attack. Found out he had taken Triple C. It is a convenient high, but it can have very bad consequences.

Print off stuff from medical sites regarding this and give to your cousin.

that is not like weed- weed mellows you. Those chemicals are more like speed or pain killers.
If he gets addicted this stuff now, he will be in trouble later. I used take shots of DayQuil before starting my day when I was younger. It gave me a rush. I don't do anything like that now because I have high blood pressure and am on daily meds. for it. I can't even take ibuprofen when I want to now.

He'll become more addicted to them and eventually end up taking more for a better high. Then he might start stealing them from the store. He needs to quit or he could die or kill someone else as they make you feel like the Hulk and Superman at the same time.
