I received DVDs from England but, I cannot play them either on my computer or DVD player. I am not talking about the language, I cannot even get it on the screen Help

DVDs have regional coding to stop discs from one region being played in another. If you do a google search on the brand and model of your DVD player, and the words "regional coding hack" you will find instructions on how to make your player multi region. It will involve pressing a sequence of keys on your remote control.
